June is PTSD Awareness Month

June is post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) awareness month. It’s an opportunity to focus energy on our service members who continue to suffer when they return home from deployment overseas.

PTSD is a complex mental health problem facing not only our military personnel, but many in our community coping and adjusting to COVID-19 trauma and recovery.

To raise awareness, the National Center for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is encouraging the community to participate in their PTSD Awareness Virtual Walk between June 1st and June 30th. The Legal Help For Veterans team will be joining this virtual walk in an effort to spread awareness.

Simply register online and complete 30 minutes of exercise any time during the month of June, that’s all!
