I have been a client of LHFV since 2022. I had been out of the Army for over 35yrs, and struggling with service related issues for 30. I was unaware I could make a disability claim after all these years. I reached out to LHFV, and after some initial reservations, I ultimately placed my trust in Mr. Fausone and his team. The results were life changing. After an initial denial, I was assigned Kristin as my Claims Developer. Her knowledge, professionalism, and PATIENCE with my questions/emails, gave me hope throughout the process. I was finally granted 70% service connection, then later, TDIU Permanent and Total, plus an earlier effective date. Kristin, you knocked it out of the park for me. I’ve been a client of LHFV since 2010 for a case that I had clear evidence for, but was unable to win either alone or with the DAV after many years.

Not only have lawyers Kristina Derro & Todd Tetreault, along with their support staff, been able to pursue those claims, they’ve won repeatedly. They’ve also been helpful with additional service-related issues when they became problematic as I’ve aged. In addition, as my representatives, they were able to deal with the tinnitus I got after a VA medication error in 2021.

I’m nearing the end of this years-long saga that has included the VA appropriately granting service connection for 15 separate issues, most of which started in the 80’s or 90’s. One final issue is before the circuit court, where LHFV has represented me when the VA didn’t respond properly to several claims over the years, often by not following their own rules. LHFV knew what to do for every item, and never missed a step.

What LHFV has done for me has truly kept me on the right side of the dirt. It’s largely a blur for me because I’ve been able to work on getting/keeping my life together while they did all of the heavy lifting. I can’t imagine pursuing my case without them, while also having numerous surgeries, hundreds of physical therapy and related mental health appointments, and dealing with a barrage of other issues related to my service. I’m eternally grateful, as is my family.

Legal Help for Veterans were recommended to me by a buddy of mine stationed at U-Tapao RTNAF, Thailand as I was. He reached 100% disability. I too reached 100%. I recommended them to some other U-Tapao buddies & all reached 100%. I was extremely satisfied with my claims developer, Todd Tetrault. He did everything required & then some. No one should be disappointed in how long it takes, the VA controls that completely.

Absolutely top notch!! It’s no secret the VA takes forever on any claim, so be patient. I submitted my claim while in the US and most of my work was done after I moved over sea’s. Todd is great with personal service. Even after I achieved a goal I never expected he is still working on getting me more back pay. The fees were more then fair. We are Veterans and should understand ” Hurry up and wait ” I also spent 30 years in the post office. A friend of mine injured his back and it took almost 10 years to get recognized. I can honestly say that you are the first positive and profoundly sincere vet rep that I have emailed that has at least encouraged me to pursue a claim. All to often the reps I have already talked to seem to be doing everything they can to keep me from looking any further into the process. I served with honor and would have continued my military career if a close friend and fellow soldier had not committed suicide in my presence. His death led directly to my honorable discharge, coupled with a stabbing victim that I tried to save 5 years later who also died, sent my life into a downward spiral. I have a strong faith in a higher power and it sustains me, along with the love for my cherished family. Living with survivors guilt, two broken marriages and separation from my precious sons has taken a toll on me over the years. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.. I hope to someday thank you again for setting me on this path.

It was so nice to talk to you on the phone yesterday. Thank you for faxing the paperwork over. I am going to fax it back to you this morning. Dave and I want to thank everyone at Legal Help for Veterans for the wonderful work you do for the veterans. If it wasn’t for your team, Dave would never have received his disability. I can’t tell you how many times he went to Boston only to be denied over and over. Many people don’t realize how hard it is for our veterans to get help from the VA. All the times that we went to the JFK building we saw so many veterans trying to get help only to be turned away and all of them getting the same old form letters. It’s sad to say most of them just quit trying because they feel it’s an up hill battle. Thank God we found out about you.

Thank you very much for the support. It seems the VA doesn’t really care. They make appointments and don’t tell me, cancel them and don’t tell me. Then, they cancel appointments and put me down as a no show. They also haven’t been refilling my meds which is a serious problem. It is nice to have people on my side.

I realize that it has been a while since I contacted you, but life has been extremely hectic. My wife was hospitalized for three and a half months and I traveled 200 miles every other day to visit. She is now home and will be making a full recovery. The VA approved my unemployable status and I am now receiving 100% VA Compensation. We want to thank all of you that work so hard each and every day at LHFV. You were always there to answer our questions no matter how many times we called or sent e- mails. All of you were so kind to always respond so quickly. If it hadn’t been for LHFV Dave would have given up. Dave went to the Boston VA many times with all of his paperwork to get help, only to be denied for many years. He met many other veterans at the regional office that had also been denied repeatedly. It is heart breaking to witness what is going on in the VA system. Our daughter was so distraught over her father being denied over and over she turned to the internet for help, that’s when she came across your web site. That was truly a blessing when she found LHFV. We can never thank you enough for all of your help in getting Dave his disability compensation award. You are angels for veterans. Before I get too excited for my son Nathan whom your law firm is representing, I want to confirm with your office if indeed Nathan has been granted a full 100% entitlement. I received the letter dated 8/15/2011 just yesterday from the Board of Veterans’ Appeals, signed my Mr. Mark D. Hindin, Veterans Law Judge, and his order states, “Entitlement to an increased 100 percent rating for obsessive compulsive disorder with depression is granted”. I haven’t told my son yet today but I am ready to buy a cake with some candles to celebrate.

This news can only be attributed to your entire team of professionals. Without your legal expertise in these matters we would of wasted years and years of failed attempts in the appeal process. From the bottom of my heart I THANK YOU and everyone responsible for this outcome. A job well done!!! I will always be grateful for your compassion and diligence regarding my son’s dilemma since his handicap limited him greatly in attempting to represent himself.
